directions to Soldier Hollow From Salt Lake City, take I-80 east to US 40. Go South on US 40 to Heber City. Turn right on State Road 113 through Midway. SR 113 turns left in Midway- follow the sign for Soldier Hollow. Turn right on Tate Lane, then left on Stringtown Road. Meet at the lower level of the Day Lodge. 
directions to Brighton, in Big Cottonwood From Salt Lake City, take I-215, Exit 6 and go east to Big Cottonwood Canyon. Follow signs to the ski areas. Use State Route 190 to go east, up the canyon. At approximately 17 miles the road splits and you must go right, around the Brighton loop road. We generally meet under the overhang of the Brighton Ski Center (see photo). directions to Hidden Valley Park From I15 from the north, take Exit 293 10600 South to the east; or from the south, take Exit 291 12300 South to the east. Continue east about 3 miles, until you reach 1700 East. From 1700 East, turn east again at the signal for Wasatch Blvd. Travel .6 mile and turn right to Hidden Valley Park.
directions to Draper (Jordan River Parkway)
Take I-15 to the 12300 South Draper/Riverton exit. Go west toward Riverton about one mile. Follow the road down the hill to the Jordan river bottoms, and turn right into the parking lot on the north side of the road east of the river.
directions to Snowbasin Heading North from Salt Lake City, take the exit for Highway 89 North (Lagoon exit - #326) and continue on Highway 89 to I-84 East. As you head up the canyon, take the Mountain Green exit (exit #92), then turn right after you pass the bridge. Head east on Utah 167 for about 2 miles until you see a Sinclair station on your left. Turn left just after the station and you will start to climb the mountain. Go about 5 miles and turn lieft at the sign for Snowbasin (Utah 226). Follow the signs for Snowbasin about 3 more miles. As you enter the Snowbasin facility, follow the signs past the Upper parking lot and continue to the Olympic parking lot. At the entrance to the Olympic parking lot, there are signs that indicate the facility is closed for the season. Continue past the signs and drive past four new lodges. Stay to the right and drive down to the lower parking lot. The event will start at the entrance to the old Maples Campground area by the large gate in the northwest corner of the Olympic parking lot. Signs for the Orienteering event will be posted.
directions to Pine Canyon (Tooele) orienteering site
From Salt Lake City, take I-80 west to the Tooele exit. Follow the signs for Tooele. After exiting I-80, continue 9.5 miles, just after the railroad overpass, and turn left at the light for 1280 North. Make your first left onto Pine Canyon Road. Stay on Pine Canyon Road, past the Cinema 6, as it heads north then curves to the east. Continue for 2.6 miles. Turn left at Churchwood Dr. (2000 E) Continue .5 mile until the end of the road.
directions to Kaysville Mountain Park
To reach the Kaysville Mountain Park from the south - On I-15 take Exit 324 (HWY 89 North), stay on Highway 89 through Farmington for approximately 4 miles, continue on Highway 89 to the light at 400 North Fruit Heights, turn right, then turn immediately left, follow the Mountain Road as it bends to the right up the mountain, go past Davis County Public Works and Animal Control, look for the Mountain Park sign on the left, park at the gravel/dirt parking lot on the left. To reach the Kaysville Mountain Park from the north - On I-15 take Exit 331 (Kaysville 200 North), turn left onto 200 North, go east for approximately 2 miles, Kaysville 200 North turns into Fruit Heights 400 North, cross Highway 89 at the light, after crossing Highway 89 turn left on Mounatin Road, follow the Mountain Road as it bends to the right up the mountain, go past Davis County Public Works and Animal Control, look for the Mountain Park sign on the left, park at the gravel/dirt parking lot on the left.

The office is in Midvale, 7719 South Main. In Midvale, South Main is actually 700 West. So, best technique is to take the 7200 S exit from I-15 and go west. Turn South at the first intersection (700 w) after the freeway, go under a railroad bridge and then turn left (east) to "Midvale downtown". Interplan's building is the last one on the east side before the traffic light. It's the North East corner of 7800 South and 700 West. Coming from the south, you can take the 90Th south exit of I-15 and go West to 700 W. Go north from there and it's the first building after the traffic light at 7800 S. Parking is on the street or Trax is about 1 mile away. |
