Directions

Driving directions from I-80 W: Take Exit 99 for UT-36 S to Tooele. Continue south on UT-36 for approximately 6.5 miles. Take a left on Erda Way (at a stoplight). After 1 mile, take a right on Droubay Road. After 2.5 miles, take a left on 2000 N (Pine Canyon). After 1 mile, take a right on Blue Park Drive (2000 E). Continue for approximately 1 mile to the bend in the road. The parking is on the east side of the road. Click the map below for a link to a dropped pin.

Four courses will be offered, all closed at 12:30pm:

• Beginner (1.9km, 7 controls)

• Intermediate (3.4km, 10 controls)

• Short Advanced (4.2km, 11 controls)

• Long Advanced (5.7km, 16 controls).

Please note that there are no bathrooms or water available at the parking area. Volunteers for control pickup are much appreciated. Many hands make light work! We will start picking up controls at 12:30pm, or once all competitors have finished, whichever is earlier.

Mapper notes:

This is the old Anaconda Smelter site. The mining operation created many unique landforms. These include many retention basins, diversion dikes and old railroad berms.
